A thorough understanding of the underlying issues relating to the distribution of mechanical, electrical, and IT utilities-along with a critical focus on sustainability-has made AEI an acclaimed leader in the planning and design of large academic, healthcare, and corporate campuses. Our role ranges from participation in full architectural and utility master plans to planning activities relating to MEP/IT utilities alone.
Our planning process generates an integrated and flexible framework for the campus, acknowledging the potential for changes in areas ranging from technology and the environment, to research focus and healthcare modalities: we plan systems that articulate with the broad, long-term goals.
Combining innovative approaches to utility production and distribution with an experienced understanding of issues that drive utility usage at the building and space level, we provide clients with the planning bases necessary to support the growth of their campus. Meanwhile, our sustainability planning capabilities allow us to develop aggressive yet realistic goals for energy use in campus facilities and to ensure that the savings associated with those goals are reflected in the planning of the utility infrastructure.
