Corporate Research

The goal of corporate research is to gain knowledge that will further develop or enhance products of commercial value. This may come in the form of a new device to treat heart disease, a new drug that slows the progression of Alzheimer's, or a product that enhances the lives of agricultural animals. While the type of research may vary, our clients count on Affiliated Engineers as a dependable partner for the design of the engineered systems that support their highly complex facilities and the specialized spaces within them.

Our clients have challenged us with the design of over 25 million square feet of research space. In addition, Affiliated Engineers has designed more vivarium space than any other MEP firm - in excess of five million gross square feet of both small and large animal space. The engineered systems within such environments as biocontainment and animal holding facilities are critical to human and animal safety. Affiliated Engineers' engineers and designers are experts in creating sophisticated and unique system designs for such complex spaces. These systems protect the researcher, the integrity of the research and the other occupants of the facility.

Our design process is a highly interactive and proactive approach which enables us to understand the unique requirements of each individual client. We are proud to play a small role in bringing research to life.
