Senior Lighting Designer


Mr. De La Rosa is a senior lighting designer in our S.F. Bay Area studio. His 10 years of experience covers a broad range of project types including corporate research, higher education, healthcare, hospitality, commercial, and residential design. With additional experience in electrical systems, he provides a unique skill set that includes in-depth knowledge of lighting control systems, power distribution, and sustainable design. His most recent recognition was a 2009 National Award of Merit given by the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA) for the public spaces of the Covance Laboratory in Chandler, AZ. This project featured seamless integration of the lighting design into the common areas to enhance the architectural features, while providing natural daylighting and other energy savings features.


Mr. De La Rosa is a member of the IESNA where he serves on several committees that provide technical input for office, healthcare, and educational lighting design. He is also Lighting Certified by the National Council of Qualifications for the Lighting Professions (NCQLP), and LEED® Accredited by the U.S. Green Building Council. He is an active member of the AEI SF Bay Area's sustainability group that educates colleagues on sustainable design practices and promotes sustainable living.
