Mission Critical

mission critical

AEI supports the mission critical data center needs of a wide variety of clients, with energy-efficient and modular mechanical, electrical, fire protection, and information technology system design.

We design systems ranging in scale from single office entities to major healthcare and corporate institutions—whether central utility plant-inclusive or coordinating with utilities services providers—working with key stakeholders to take the design process from the initial project requirement planning, through design and construction, to a fully-commissioned and systems-tested data center facility.

We draw on experience with facilities over 500,000 sf and power densities approaching 1000 watts/sf, to show that it is no longer sufficient to have a Tier II, III, or IV facility with redundant power paths and multiple cooling systems. We can help calculate and manage DCIE or PUE numbers and help lower costs of operation.

AEI uses SKM for arc flash studies determining proper protection for your staff, and a variety of tools, including TileFlow, Ansys Airpak, and other modeling software for new buildings and for facility analysis audits of existing facilities, to identify points of risk to your data center operation as well as undersized or oversized systems that may be wasting energy or likely to fail due to overloaded conditions.
